Settlement Services

Settlement Engagement & Transition Support (SETS)

With 40-year’s experience in the sector, ADSI provides assistance to newly arrived migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background living in the Central Western Sydney areas under different settlement programs funded by the Commonwealth government.

Client Services

To address clients’ needs and issues in the process of settlement, ensuring the independence and self-reliance of all clients, and the ability to get access to mainstream services. This is done through: needs based one-on-one casework, provision of information, advocacy on behalf of clients, settlement advice and solutions, group information sessions, and referrals to other main stream services.

Client services focus on outcomes leading to positive changes to refugees/humanitarian entrants’ lives, especially around areas of English, Employment, Education and Training (EEET).

Community Capacity Building

To assist building capacity of new, emerging and/or geographically scattered communities. This is done through community consultations, skills development coaching, organisational development, and training & development.

Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP)

ADSI also hosts several Settlement Services International (SSI) case managers and support workers providing Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP) directly to clients in the local area, as a part of the SSI’s decentralised service provision model working with migrant resources centres in Sydney.
